I found Creative Kinesiology in 2007. At the time I was feeling very stuck. I had recently become a parent and was finding family life very challenging. I knew that the difficulties I was facing had roots in the past, but I did not know what to do about it. My partner reminded me of my father and both him and my daughter would “push my buttons” every day. I was stuck in a pattern of reacting without thinking. The words I let out of my mouth did not sound like my own. I was parenting and partnering in out-dated ways that I had learnt in the past, but were not serving me at all in the present.

I was interested to find that I was not alone in this experience. When I met with others who were also new to parenting I would often hear people say, “I’ve become my mother” or, “I’ve become my father”. I can now see that what we live with becomes us. However much we may want to do things differently, the conditioning or programming that we receive in our early years has a huge impact on how we live our lives. It is of course possible to act with consciousness and choose new ways to do things, but when we are stressed we tend to run on auto and it is then that our old programmes take over the show. Creative Kinesiology has provided the means for me to break this spell.

With the help of Creative Kinesiology I have released a huge backlog of emotions. I have been able to change the way I think. Creative Kinesiology allows us to access information through the body which under normal circumstances is hidden from consciousness. Using kinesiology in this way I was able to identify and change the self-limiting beliefs that had been running me. I was able to change the programmes and break the spell.

More and more now I am able to parent and partner from a place of choice. I am enjoying life more. I have slowed down. I have healed.

Alongside the Creative Kinesiology I have been working with Natural Nutrition. Whilst healing my past energetically with Creative Kinesiology I worked on it physically with raw food and detoxification. I have been cleansing myself of the physical toxicity that had accumulated in my body over this life time and my health has greatly improved.

In childhood I experienced many acute episodes of illness: repeated ear, nose and throat infections and frequent coughs and colds. Aged 5, I had a tonsillectomy, at 8, I began to get eczema and at 11, I went on to develop hay-fever. Through my teens the hay-fever got worse and developed into perennial rhinitis; a constant allergic state, triggered by a number of allergens present in the environment. My eyes itched all the time and it was common for me to experience whole days of sneezing. My nose was always blocked and sore; I could never breathe through it.

By early adulthood I also had fungal problems on my skin and yeast overgrowth internally. It is clear to me now that there was a disease process at play in my body which was getting deeper and deeper. Using Creative Kinesiology and Nutritional Therapy I turned this around to head in a new direction. I have undone the disease process. I am now almost completely symptom free. I am well.

Before discovering the holistic therapies I began my career much more conventionally, with a degree in Occupational Therapy. I then worked with adults with learning disabilities for a number of years. Around this time I discovered crystals and took a diploma in Crystal Healing which I completed in 2005. I was also drawn to Reiki and began to learn this too, receiving my first Reiki attunement in 2003 and then completing my Reiki Master attunement in 2012. It was in 2012 also that I qualified with diplomas in both Nutritional Healing and Creative Kinesiology.

Creative Kinesiology is a wonderful way for me to bring all of my therapies together. The body is given a voice through the muscle test and we can find out just what is needed in that moment; which could be anything from my holistic toolbox. Healing for me using these therapies has been a deep and profound experience. It seems to me that huge potential lays waiting for us within our challenges; and that we can choose to explore this if we wish. Healing is a process of growth which happens as we learn and expand into ourselves; releasing what we no longer need as we integrate our learning and journey towards wholeness.
