SUMMARY:Running Short Workshops and Talks - Introducing how we work within Creative Kinesiology
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this workshop is to help you find your own ways of sharing what Creative Kinesiology has to offer. One of the great strengths of CK is that we have learned the framework through our training and then ‘made it our own’ as a practitioner. So\, we’ll build on this and what you\, as participants\, bring\, to explore the range of ways that you might: \n\n	demonstrate what CK is and how we work with it – potentially attracting more clients to your practice\n	run short workshops/talks for members of the public and/or your clients\n	share some of the fantastic energy tools that we use within CK\n\nThis will be an experiential workshop where we will be supporting each other to prepare for and practice short demonstrations to the rest of the group – to get a feel for what works for each of us and build confidence. \nWe’ll focus on two broad areas: \n1. Preparation and discussion – Introducing ourselves as practitioners and the work that we offer through CK\, including: \n\n	showing how muscles ‘switch off’ when they’re stressed\n	demonstrating how we track to find what might help to support the ‘client’ with the issue they are bringing and\n	practicing simple energy exercises to restore balance\n\n2. Practice with ‘having a go’ at demonstrating how participants work\, through introducing something specific that interests them to the rest of the group (up to 15 mins each) \nYou will receive some background notes to underpin your experience during the weekend\, which we’ll be expanding on during our time together. \nThe workshop counts as a minimum of 15 hours CPD. \nYou can gain further CPD hours by completing home study which includes planning and running your own short workshop or talk and writing it up as a case study. \nOpen to:The workshop is open to any CKA member practitioner who has been assessed (CKAP and beyond). \nYour teacher on this course: \n\n	Ali Ashby ACKRP – Creative Kinesiology practitioner\, mentor and trainer\n\nCourse costs: \n\n	The workshop fee is £150 – to include background notes and refreshments\n\nHow to join this course: \nPlease contact Ali Ashby (details below) for enquiries or for a registration form to book your place. \nRefreshments and training space: \nThe Natural Health Centre is in a central location (just off Gandy Street) only minutes from Exeter Central Station. Northernhay Gardens are also close by for some fresh air and park space. \nWe have use of a kitchen area (with fridge and kettle) and you are welcome either to bring food for yourself or to share\, or to go out to one of the numerous cafes close by during our lunch break. \nRefreshments: teas\, coffee\, water and biscuits will be provided.
