SUMMARY:Running Short Workshops and Talks - Introducing how we work within Creative Kinesiology
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this workshop is to help you find your own ways of sharing what Creative Kinesiology has to offer. One of the great strengths of CK is that we have learned the framework through our training and then ‘made it our own’ as a practitioner. So\, we’ll build on this and what you\, as participants\, bring\, to explore the range of ways that you might: \n\n	demonstrate what CK is and how we work with it – potentially attracting more clients to your practice\n	run short workshops/talks for members of the public and/or your clients\n	share some of the fantastic energy tools that we use within CK\n\nThis will be an experiential workshop where we will be supporting each other to prepare for and practice short demonstrations to the rest of the group – to get a feel for what works for each of us and build confidence. \nWe’ll focus on two broad areas: \n1. Preparation and discussion – Introducing ourselves as practitioners and the work that we offer through CK\, including: \n\n	showing how muscles ‘switch off’ when they’re stressed\n	demonstrating how we track to find what might help to support the ‘client’ with the issue they are bringing and\n	practicing simple energy exercises to restore balance\n\n2. Practice with ‘having a go’ at demonstrating how participants work\, through introducing something specific that interests them to the rest of the group (up to 15 mins each) \nYou will receive some background notes to underpin your experience during the weekend\, which we’ll be expanding on during our time together. \nThe workshop counts as a minimum of 15 hours CPD. \nYou can gain further CPD hours by completing home study which includes planning and running your own short workshop or talk and writing it up as a case study. \nOpen to:The workshop is open to any CKA member practitioner who has been assessed (CKAP and beyond). \nYour teacher on this course: \n\n	Ali Ashby ACKRP – Creative Kinesiology practitioner\, mentor and trainer\n\nCourse costs: \n\n	The workshop fee is £150 – to include background notes and refreshments\n\nHow to join this course: \nPlease contact Ali Ashby (details below) for enquiries or for a registration form to book your place. \nRefreshments and training space: \nThe Natural Health Centre is in a central location (just off Gandy Street) only minutes from Exeter Central Station. Northernhay Gardens are also close by for some fresh air and park space. \nWe have use of a kitchen area (with fridge and kettle) and you are welcome either to bring food for yourself or to share\, or to go out to one of the numerous cafes close by during our lunch break. \nRefreshments: teas\, coffee\, water and biscuits will be provided.

SUMMARY:Body-oriented Interpersonal Skills - Advanced (CPD)
DESCRIPTION:The Body Speaks – Advanced Course in Interpersonal Skills\nIn this training from our range of Body-oriented Interpersonal Skills courses\, we shall travel further with the way we offer our therapy. \nWorking with people carrying old hurts and wounds from the past takes time – we need to be prepared for this\, especially if we are drawn to working with trauma\, early childhood problems and the physical and emotional problems that lie beneath the surface of symptoms brought to us by our clients. These are the deep and difficult places that can arise as aches and pains\, emotional and relationship problems or feelings of not belonging – for instance. In this course we shall be deepening our understanding of the processes involved and ways that the care a practitioner can offer assists the healing process. \nThis is the first of two additional training courses (each of six days) designed to address this deeper work and to provide practical ways of offering help in our sessions. \n\n	The second weekend of this training will be held 7-9 June 2019.\n\nThis training course will count as 90 hours of CPD (including homestudy).\n \nOpen to:The course is open to those who have completed the Core Subject in Interpersonal Skills\, have some experience of working as a Creative Kinesiologist and are committed to continuing to working deeply on themselves.\nYour teacher on this course: \n\n	Carrie Jost ACKRP\n\nCourse costs: \n\n	£495 for the six days\, including manuals and refreshments.\n	A deposit of £100 will secure your place – to be paid by end of Feb 2019.\n\nHow to join this course: \nPlease contact Carrie Jost (details below) for more information or to book your place. \n\nVenue \nTrevanin Farm is a beautifully renovated farmstead quietly situated on the outskirts of the village of Woodbury Salterton and with self catering accommodation if required. SUMMARY:Body-oriented Interpersonal Skills (Core Subject)
DESCRIPTION:We set great store by our Interpersonal Skills training\, seeing this as a foundation of the way that we work with people. Our practitioners are well trained and we run a great course for them. We are now bringing in a new course – and the reason for this is that we are keen to include the body. \nExperience from working with Creative Kinesiology shows several things very clearly: \n\n	That unless the work includes both the emotional aspect and the body then the changes we are working to achieve with our clients just do not stick.\n	This new Body-oriented Interpersonal Skills course will address both emotions and the physical together.\n\nSo much of our work involves working with trauma – taking any current issues into the past and changing the impact past events have had\, which continue into present day. Trauma always has a body aspect – it has to go somewhere and the body is a convenient place to put it. \nBody work has a part to play in all Creative Kinesiology work – and with this can come release of emotion\, stuck energy and with it a feeling of vulnerability in the client. Supporting clients with this is a vital part of the work. \n\n	The second weekend of the six days of training will be held 2 to 4 Nov 2018.\n\nThis training course will count as a Core Subject and as Continuing Professional Development. \n\n	Learn more about the Body-oriented Interpersonal Skills course \n	Learn more about the Creative Kinesiology Core Subjects\n\nOpen to:This course is now fully subscribed. If you would like to be added to the waiting list\, please contact the course organiser\, ChaNan Bonser (details below).\nYour teacher on this course: \n\n	Carrie Jost ACKRP\n\nCourse costs: \n\n	£450 for the six days\, including manuals and refreshments.\n	A deposit of £100 will secure your place.\n\nHow to join this course: \nPlease contact ChaNan Bonser (details below) for more information or to book your place.
