I have always been interested in people and what makes them tick. One of my greatest joys is to help them to make a difference to their lives – for the better! Discovering Touch for Health in 1984 started me on my CK journey – bringing healing for myself and for others and a way of sharing my love of this work by teaching. I have trained in many kinesiologies, bodywork, psychotherapy and counselling, as well as shamanic healing.
In my practice I work with a huge range of problems and difficulties. I have such huge respect for the courage it takes for people to say they need some help and then to ask for it. The help can be with anything – but what all clients have in common is that they have a sense that life could be different. We work with whatever their intent may be: on a physical or emotional level, about a relationship or spiritual issue, release of trauma or stress – in fact, anything!
My work has developed over the 30 years I have been practising and teaching. Currently I am developing a three-part training course in Interpersonal Skills that focuses on the body aspects of shock, stress, anxiety and trauma. The aim is to bring this aspect of the work into a more central place.
I mentor practitioners and teachers and occasionally practitioners from other complementary medicines.
When I mentor it not only helps the work of the practitioners and teachers to develop and grow but it also gives me, as Head of the CK School, a good sense of where we are going and need to go in the future as we expand and grow.
Currently I teach those that wish to become teachers and am teaching the three-part Interpersonal Skills course I have developed.
Over the years I have taught all the training courses we offer in the CK School, and of course developed them - with the help of others. We have now reached the position where the Foundation and Professional training courses are taught by our excellent CK teaching team.
