This is a three-day course for those wishing to become trainers in CK, for those running small groups and for anyone interested in learning about what is involved in running groups.
Within Creative Kinesiology teaching we use experiential learning as a powerful way of putting across the ethos, methods and material of our courses so that students can learn how to become practitioners. Or how to become even better practitioners when they are taking part in a CPD training course. The course is open to any qualified kinesiologist – whatever your kinesiology training.
Most of our training takes part in a small group setting – meaning the groups would have a maximum of 12 people in them. As trust develops so group members are able to embody what is being taught and the way it is taught, and this is designed to set them up as practitioners.
This very practical course aims to equip trainers with the necessary skills, methods and approaches to enable the group to learn. Within the group process there is not only individual learning, but also learning through the relationship with trainers and the other members of the group.
You will gain some understanding of the group dynamics that can be involved and how to maximise the way that individual and group needs are met.
We shall cover the following:
* Managing group energy
* Group dynamics
* Holding group energy
* Power and relationships within the group
* Group pacing
* Dealing with typical group problems
* Models and maps of group process
* Awareness within the group

And we shall have plenty of time to practise.
The workshop is designed to take each participant and the group as a whole on a journey of self-discovery. We shall unpick the group dynamics as we go. Each participant will have the opportunity to practise working within the group, with the aim of developing your own best practice.
The course is recognised as a CPD course and as part of the Teacher Training course by the Kinesiology Federation. You will gain 26 CPD hours by attending the course and completing one case study on working with a group.
